For Immediate Release Doty Elected to Serve on KBCMPI Board of Directors LEXINGTON (April 20, 2010) – Symbiotix Management Strategies (SMS), a highly specialized, full-service association management company, is pleased to announce that Brian Doty, CMP, SMS’ Vice President of Client Services, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Bluegrass Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (KBCMPI), beginning July 1, 2010. “We are very proud of Brian and his accomplishments as a meeting professional,” said SMS Principal Owner, Jo Ann Rice, Pharm.D. “His creativity and collaborative management style have proven to be a huge competitive advantage for SMS and its clients.” Doty is a past president of KBCMPI and served the association at the international level on the International Chapter Leadership Committee. In 2004 and 2008, he was the recipient of the Kentucky Bluegrass Chapter Meeting Planner of the Year Award. “I am very excited about the opportunity to return to Board service for such an engaged and spirited organization,” said Doty, “and I look forward to contributing in a meaningful way.” Doty carries nearly a decade of national association management experience as a chief staff officer. Additionally, he is a 17-year veteran of the meetings industry with experience in catering, convention services and hotel operations, as well as corporate, association, and international meetings management.
